The greatest thing your membership gives you is a voice in your PTA. Whether you're concerned primarily with how the PTA funds NSM priorities, you want to stay up-to-date on what's happening at NSM and across the district, or you want to learn more about advocating for all children, PTA membership is the way to go.

PTA is the nation’s oldest, largest and highest profile volunteer organization working on behalf of public schools, children and families. PTA volunteers work in their schools and communities to improve the education, health and welfare of all children and youth.  In addition, the PTA has negotiated other benefits for you:

• National PTA Perks (members only site; discounts include Hertz, Office Max, & Lenovo)

Membership in the PTA is open to anyone and becoming a PTA member is easy. Anyone who donates to the school (minimum $10) receives a complimentary membership. Remember that membership is open to parents, teachers, staff, students, grandparents and other relatives, alumni, friends, and neighbors--anyone who cares about our school.  Make your donation and become a member today!

A portion of your that initial $10 donation is returned to the San Mateo-Foster City PTA Council as membership dues, which further allocates the funds to the District, State, and National PTAs.
