Volunteer Spotlight & a Request

Volunteering is a great way to learn more about our school and build connections. We ask our families to volunteer for 30 hours per year. Let us know how you might like to volunteer by filling out this general volunteer interest form, or let us know if you are able to help with these special projects. You should also be hearing from your room parent(s) throughout the year about opportunities to volunteer in the classroom or for the PTA community event that your class is helping lead. Don’t forget to log your volunteer hours here! Volunteer hours are collected and reported to maintain PTA’s federal tax exemption status. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, PTA must receive one-third of its support from the general public. The recorded hours from volunteers are proof of this. They are also used in advocating on behalf of children and as information in grant writing.

VOLUNTARIADO EN NSM

El voluntariado es una excelente manera de aprender más sobre nuestra escuela y establecer conexiones. Les pedimos a nuestras familias que sean voluntarias durante 30 horas al año. Háganos saber cómo le gustaría ser voluntario completando este formulario de interés general para voluntarios, o déjanos saber si puedes ayudar con estos proyectos especiales. También debería escuchar a los padres de su salón durante todo el año sobre oportunidades para ser voluntario en el salón de clases o para el evento comunitario de la PTA que su clase está ayudando a dirigir. ¡No olvide registrar sus horas de voluntariado aquí! Las horas de voluntariado se recopilan y reportan para mantener el estado de exención de impuestos federales del PTA. Como organización sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3), la PTA debe recibir un tercio de su apoyo del público en general. Las horas registradas de los voluntarios son prueba de ello. Thank you to everyone who volunteers for our school. Please report your volunteer hours online on Membership Toolkit. This year, we’ve set a big goal of logging 6,000 volunteer hours across our K-8 program. Volunteering in the classroom, for the school, or at PTA events all count! Please record your hours regularly throughout the year, even after you have fulfilled your family's 30-hour commitment. Hours worked by grandparents and friends on your family's behalf can be entered.
